Digital Voice founders Julie Nicholson and Olwyn Hocking have worked with hundreds of groups across Tyneside and the North East. They work with more than forty highly experienced associate team members, bringing together the best practitioners to deliver the goals of each specific project. And their volunteer team involves people who share the social goals of Digital Voice and provides development opportunities.
They were shortlisted for the 2008 regional Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award "Best Newcomer" category.
I began working with groups as a volunteer with looked-after young people fifteen years ago. It's very rewarding to feel you've made a difference.
What they say:
"Julie is a talented and dedicated media professional who has produced excellent work with a real emphasis on climate change. She has a strong belief in working for the benefit of the community and the environment and has successfully created an enterprise that does both."
Harnessing media is a vital and enjoyable way to communicate - it's great fun, and it's also a creative way we can all leave our mark on the world.
