How Digital Voice can help you tell your story

Did you know that as well as delivering our six key programmes we are also commissioned to make professional films for the public sector and VCSE organisations?

Some are looking to raise awareness of a service, or to explain how new legislation might affect clients and users, others want to celebrate successes, best practice or share an annual report with stakeholders in a more engaging way.

Digital Voice are experts in our field; we can happily boast film-makers, producers, scriptwriters, editors and sound operators/designers as part of the multi-award-winning team so you’ll be in safe hands. There’s a wealth of experience in all the technical aspects, as well as a creative response to your brief and the messages you want to convey.

We’re particularly good at promoting organisations with a social justice or community focus because that’s what we do too.

Recent examples include:

Gateshead NHS, for whom we made films about their Mental Health Transformation team. You can read more about their project and watch their films here: https://www.digitalvoice.org.uk/case-studies/be-honest-how-asking-for-genuine-feedback-can-drive-innovative-change

Inclusion North - We supported this charity’s Stop People Dying Too Young group to make a film to educate people with disabilities on the issues such as ‘Do Not Resuscitate’.

Karen Parry, Inclusion North’s Chief Executive, feeds back:

“We regularly work with Digital Voice when we need a team who can make filmmaking accessible for people with a learning disability and autistic people. They listen to our needs, support each individual to contribute and they understand the impact we are trying to create with the film. We are getting more ambitious each time we work with them and the results are brilliant.”

Gateshead Holidays and Food asked us to highlight their holiday provision for families in need - their film Brighten the Day can be seen here:

“Just wanted to say thank you to you and the team for helping us out with this piece of work. I’m really pleased with the final film, I think it’s brilliant!” - Ian Miller, Gateshead Council

How does it work?

We offer a bespoke service to all clients but to give you an idea of the process, here’s how it works. What we’ll need from you is the brief, including who your target audience is; what’s the message; who do you want us to interview; any locations you’d like to highlight; e.g. our recent work for the NHS had a focus on iconic landmarks in Northumberland.

What you’ll get from us is a professional production. Our team will schedule shooting, interviews, scripting, voice overs, graphics, sound design, editing. We work closely with you to ensure we’re telling your story in the way you’ve envisaged.

Then you share your story with your user groups, clients, staff or stakeholders (a premiere with a red carpet is up to you!)

As well as you sharing them across your platforms, the film can also have a permanent home on our youtube channel, if you wish.

Let us help you get your messages across.
