Your DigitalMe: Tailor-Made for you and your Organisation

Our DigitalMe programme is one of our most popular, because no two DigitalMes are the same. When we say tailor-made, we mean it.

Whoever it is for, this innovative project provides a safe process and platform for vulnerable people to talk about difficult, painful subjects. We work with a range of organisations to get their important messages across in a simple but very effective way.

Digitally Inclusive

DigitalMe has universal appeal because it’s tried and tested formula works with people of all ages, abilities, experiences and backgrounds.

Amongst the people we’ve worked with are care leavers, survivors of domestic abuse, adopted children, school children dealing with the pandemic lockdowns and people with disabilities who have experienced hate crime.

Flexible Approach

We can deliver your DigitalMe project in-person or virtually, via engagement through workshops or a script-based process. These two films are examples of the work we’ve delivered in-person. Participants are supported to create the media themselves, as well as sharing their experiences. Each person creates their own individual piece and we then produce a montage of everyone in the group. As a guide, the in-person version is usually delivered over 8 weeks.

For organisations who know that their service-users will not be in a position to attend regular workshops, we are able to concentrate on capturing thoughts and recording audio.

We also offer a script-writing version in which the partners can give us a range of case-studies and we are able to translate that into a first-person narrative.

Relevant and Adaptable

DigitalMe can be adapted to a range of audiences and we also ensure that it responds to new innovations in technology. Currently participants can either draw their own avatar or use digital drawing tools and software. We will soon run projects including digital animation which we’re sure participants will respond well to.

Impact that Lasts

The films we’ve enabled people and organisations to produce continue to have an impact beyond the scope of the original project.  The DigitalMe we created with with Newcastle Gateshead CCG, Gateshead Council and Newcastle City Council to raise awareness of the challenges faced by care leavers has done more than raise awareness, it has had tangible and lasting impact:

“We have secured significant funding to pilot travel passes, have enhanced and delivered training to GP's in both areas. We are working with colleagues to strengthen the offer to support mental health, exploring options for prescription costs, enhanced support for health needs 18+ and improving confidentiality statements.” - Linda Hubbucks (Designated Nurse, Looked After Children)

Other organisations continue to use their film as an educational resource: Adoption Tees Valley use theirs in schools to raise awareness of the experience that adopted children have.
